Leigh Bowery (1961 - 1994) was born in Sunshine (Melbourne, Australia) but was primarily a Londoner for much of his adult life. Through a career, Bowery’s career would see him take on many different roles, all the while refusing to be limited by convention.

The nine rooms of the exhibition, to their credit are spread out and the way you can interact with each element of Bowery's art: from the outrageous outfits, to observations of the designer by Lucien Freud to even the video of a high-camp low production with fellow artist Trojan, there's really something for everyone to admire.
